Part C
AI Output and Data Handling
Effective: 23 May 2026
Written to be readable by a non-lawyer user as well as to support the legal position.
1. How Planset produces Output
1.1 You upload plans, specifications, and pricing data. The Service uses AI, including third-party AI models, to read those documents and your Knowledge Base and to generate a scope, a takeoff with line items, and pricing, which you then review and edit.
1.2 Plan and specification files are converted to images and sent to the AI model for reading, which returns structured data. This is an automated reading, not a human review by us.
2. What the Output is, and what it is not
2.1 The Output is a starting point generated by software and can contain errors, including misreading dimensions, schedules, room labels, notes, or specifications, and missing items.
2.2 An Estimate is indicative only. It is not a quote, not a fixed price, and not professional advice (Terms clause 5).
3. Your verification obligation
3.1 You must independently verify Output before relying on it (Terms clause 5.2). The Service presents Output as editable so you can correct it. Editing is expected.
4. Per-tenant data isolation
4.1 Each customer's data (KB, projects, Output) is isolated from every other customer's data, enforced at the database layer through row-level security.
5. Use of your data and AI training
5.1 We do not use your Input Material, KB, or Output to train our own general AI models.
5.2 We use a third-party AI provider to process your content. We contract with that provider so that your content is processed only to return Output to you and is not used to train its general models.
6. Subprocessors
6.1 We use the following subprocessors.
- AI processing: Anthropic (model provider).
- Hosting and application: Vercel.
- Database, authentication, and file storage: Supabase.
- Payments: Stripe.
- Transactional email: Resend.
6.2 Some of these providers process or store data outside Australia (Privacy Policy clause 7). We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle personal information consistently with the APPs, and we will maintain an up-to-date subprocessor list and take reasonable steps to notify customers of material changes.
7. Retention specific to AI processing
7.1 We delete raw plan and specification files from our systems within 24 hours of processing, retaining only the structured extraction (Privacy Policy clause 8.1).
7.2 Content transmitted to our AI provider for processing is subject to that provider's retention and deletion practices. The provider may retain transient processing copies for up to 30 days unless a zero-retention arrangement is in place.
This interim schedule is current as of 23 May 2026 and will be updated when our final legal review completes.
